  • May I purchase tickets for the entertainment, if I'm not a registered Winter Rendezvous participant?
    Yes, You may purchase tickets at the door. Cash only. Friday - Gay Comedian/Hypnotist $40.00 Saturday Boston's Gay Mens Chorus $40.00. doors open at 8:30 pm, Stowe High Auditorium. Special discount rates for local Vermont residents. Must show Drivers license

  • Should I pre-register to attend Winter Rendezvous 2009?
    Yes, you will save money if you pre-registration

  • May I just show up and register when I arrive Stowe?
    Yes, But ONLY IF we can accomodate you. Some events may be SOLD OUT. You should Pre-Register to avoid problems and save some dough.

  • What if I'm NOT registered for Winter Rendezvous and only want to attend some of the events, what will each one cost?
    Wednesday night - Commodores Inn $10.00 cover
    Welcome buffet dinner - Commodores Thursday - $30
    Ice Breaker Party-Rusty Nail Bar, Thursday - $25 at door

  • If I'm registered for the Weekend Package ($150) will I be able to attend the buffet dinner or the Ice breaker party Thursday night?
    NO, The weekend pass ($150) is not valid for events on Thursday. You are better off upgrading to a full package ($175) before the event starts. You may pay at the door for Thursdays events, see prices above.

  • I am a registered participant, Will I receive a package in the mail? What should I do when I arrive in Stowe?
    No, you will not receive a package in the mail. When you arrive stop by the Commodores Inn. There will be a hospitality desk in the lobby. There you will pick up your welcome packet, it will contain your credentials, a detailed schedule of events and a host of other surprises.

  • Which scheduled activities must I sign-up in advance for?

    Sign up sheet is at the hospitiality table in the Commodores Inn lobby.

  • What is the closet airport to Stowe?
    The Burlington International airport (BTV) is located 40 min from Stowe.

  • How do I get from the BTV airport to my hotel?
    You may rent a car at the airport or use the one of the van services. Pegs Taxi or The Blazer (802) 253-0013. (Note: It is cheaper to rent a car)

  • Should I rent a car?
    You should consider the idea, things are spread out in stowe, you will want to go off-site for dinner, shopping, etc... The cost of a 5 day economy rental is about the same price of the van service.

  • What if I'm a non-skier?
    No problem. there is plently to do for non-skiers, most come for the social aspect, the entertainment, or winter activities other then skiing, there are plenty to choose from. You will not be board!

  • What is the general make-up of the winter Rendezvous group?
    The folks attending Winter Rendezvous are from all walks of life, predominantly gays & lesbians, of all ages, from New England and beyond, bears, young urban professionals, cowboys and coegirls. As well as friends, family, and any other open-minded, fun loving, gay friendly person who cares to join the fun. We do require you bring a sense of humor and positive attitude. In general we do not discriminate, unless of course you are a republican, liberal democrat with a freak flag, or you happen to look funny.
  • How do I register?
    Make check or money order payable to MJW Adventures. Mail to Winter Rendezvous, 50 Victory Road, Boston, MA 02122-2628.
  • What about trip insurance?
    Trip insurance is strongly recommended. There are several companies which offer trip insurance. Be sure to read the terms & conditions of your policy. Travel Guard International is one company you may consider. Our clients have had good experiences with Travel Guard.
